I consider local bookstores an absolute treasure. I love the shops, the owners, and they love their communities. Here are three of my favorite local spots, who are your local bookstores? Let’s add them to our list and support them!
Book Rack Arlington
Originally opened in 1975 in Lexington, we moved to our current location in Arlington Center in 1999. We have thousands of used books that we sell at 50% off cover price and a selection of the hottest new books. You can also bring in your gently used books for trade points to reduce the price of your used books.
We are one of New England’s premier independent bookstores, family-owned and locally run since 1961. We have been playing a vital role in shaping the world of independent bookselling and nurturing connection with our community’s curious minds through books and social discourse.
More Than Words
More Than Words is a job training and youth development program that empowers nearly 350 youth each year to take charge of their lives by taking charge of our $4M bookselling business.
