People often stroll down the streets of Back Bay wondering what’s behind those glorious front entrances. They have visions of high ceilings, old world grandeur, and breathy elegance.

While many people associate “penthouse” with fabulous, they are often surprised to see that it is actually the parlor or ballroom levels that are the amazing rooms in many brownstones. Those rooms were the public spaces of what were built to be single family homes. They can be just amazing.
