Spring clean your bedrooms

Ready to tackle your bedroom and give it a good spring cleaning? First things first: declutter. We all accumulate stuff over time, so take a look around your room and get rid of anything that’s no longer serving you. Donate or toss what you don’t need.

Once you’ve cleared out the clutter, it’s time to clean. Grab a dust cloth and start wiping down all the surfaces in your room, from the top of your furniture, to your nightstands and shelves. Don’t forget to give your dressers a good wipe too.

Finally, strip your bed and wash your linens and bedding, taking advantage of the fresh air and sunshine by hanging your bedding outside to dry. Finally, vacuum or sweep the floors and then mop or steam clean them to leave your bedroom feeling fresh and clean.

Inspect your roof, gutters, and downspouts

Before you grab that ladder and climb up to your roof, it’s important to make sure you’re doing it safely. If you’re not comfortable up there, don’t be afraid to call in a pro to help you out.

Once you’re up there, take a good look at your roof and gutters. Look for any signs of wear and tear, like missing shingles or cracks. Make sure your gutters are clear of any debris. If they’re clogged, water can’t flow freely, and that can cause problems for your roof and your home’s foundation.

Additionally, make sure to check for signs of pests such as birds, squirrels, or insects living in your roof or gutters. They can cause damage and create a nuisance.

Service your heating and airconditioning

Keeping up with regular HVAC maintenance is key to keeping your home cool and comfortable during the hot summer months. That’s why it’s important to schedule a maintenance appointment for your HVAC system before the weather gets too warm.

During a maintenance appointment, a technician will inspect your system, checking for any issues that could cause problems down the line. They’ll look at everything from the air conditioning unit to the ductwork to make sure your system is running smoothly.

By staying on top of regular maintenance, you can help extend the life of your HVAC system and avoid costly repairs. So go ahead and schedule that appointment – your future self will thank you for it when the summer heat rolls around!

Prepare outdoor spaces for the season

Spring is the perfect time to get your outdoor spaces ready for the warmer weather ahead. Along with raking up leaves and debris from your lawn, garden, and flower beds, don’t forget to prepare your deck or patio.

Sweep away any dirt and debris and give it a good scrub to remove any lingering grime from winter. If your deck or patio needs to be resealed or repainted, this is a good time to do it. You can also add some fresh color and life to your outdoor space by adding potted plants or a new outdoor rug.

Once your deck or patio is looking its best, don’t forget to clean and repair your outdoor furniture. With your outdoor space in top shape, you can enjoy relaxing or entertaining guests on your patio all spring and summer long!

Clean and update your doors & windows

Spring is the perfect time to give your doors and windows some attention to prepare them for the new season. Start by checking for any damage, such as cracks or warping in the frames, and repair or replace as needed. Then, clean the glass and screens to let more light in and improve your view of the outdoors. You can also consider adding weather stripping to prevent drafts and improve energy efficiency.

Another way to freshen up your doors is to repaint them. A new coat of paint can make them look like new again and add some personality to your home. With these simple steps, your doors and windows will be ready for spring and summer, and you can enjoy a brighter, more comfortable home.

By staying on top of these tasks, you can help prevent problems down the road and ensure your home is comfortable and safe for you and your family!
