28th Cambridge Carnival Festival

The Cambridge Carnival International is celebrating 28 years of festivals in 2022 on Sunday, September 11, 2022! Cambridge Carnival is a colorful and festive celebration that is rooted in African traditions. Cambridge Carnival is one of 24 North American Caribbean-style carnivals that display the diverse cultures of all the countries and Caribbean islands. The event combines wire-bending, costumes, masks, music, steel pan, street parades, dancing, food and craft exhibits.

Tour de Streets 2022

Tour de Streets is an annual fundraising event that celebrates LivableStreets’ accomplishments and raise resources to fund their work in the coming years. There will be activities for all ages, as well as music and team photos for anyone who wants to commemorate their fundraising efforts. Festivities will continue until around 2pm, when you are free to go enjoy the rest of your day!

SomerFest 2022

The City of Boston boasts only a few Black-owned performance venues despite a quarter of its residents identifying as Black according to the US Census Bureau. SomerFest emerged in 2018 out of a dearth of performative platforms and outlets which people of color are able to leverage. SomerFest exists to produce annual, culturally rich entertainment for the local community while also highlighting people of color among its vendors, volunteers and other associated personnel.
